"Farms and properties with dilapidated old structures are always on my radar.  This farm is across the street from a small park where we walk our dog sometimes in the neighboring town of Telford.  Their municipality owns the farm and talked about adapting the farm house but the barn was demolished.  I got the reference pic for this painting as the sun set on an Autumn evening.  Streaking clouds and a colorful sky ran behind the barn highlighting the skeletal structure that would be gone the next day.  It felt like the pond and I were the last to see it standing"
